How do I clean Jade?
I’ve got a piece of jewelry that I want to clean up to give to someone to wear.
It’s a Jade broach, about an inch square.
In general, jade is easy to take care of. You can even wear the jade item while taking a shower.
Jade Cleaning: Clean jade with warm water and little mild soap or detergent.
Use a soft brush to clean away dirt if necessary.
Virtually all jade is waxed; most of it these days is dyed and/or polymer impregnated. So while jade itself is one of the toughest gem materials in existence, the treatments that may have improved its appearance are not. I would stick with mild soap and water, which ought to be enough. Jewelry cleaner will strip off the wax and may damage the polymer coating, if any.
try good old fashioned soap and water (use a soft cloth though!!!)

Use any jewelry cleaner.
It’s a semi-recious stone so it will work.
It does’nt matter what kind of stone it is.. it all depends on the metal that it’s on.
Such as if it’s silver you have to use a certin cleaner thats just for silver because it will turn green.
If it’s gold or plat. then any kind of jewerly cleaner will do

i used to use washing up liquid and water then buff with a soft cloth. i used to have some lovely jade ornaments years ago. brings them up a treat p.s not too much washing up liquid mind just a dot of the stuff
